Peter Upton, CMG, MA
Founder and Executive Director
Peter is an experienced international leader with extensive experience working in HE and cultural relations with national governments and senior policy-makers. He has worked in Nigeria, Thailand, China, Europe and the USA, and has led large system-wide reform programmes in HE and Secondary Education.
Jacqui Bassett, MSc, FRSA
Associate Director
Jacqui is a passionate and innovative international cultural relations specialist with a focus on education development and gender. She has over 21 years of international experience gained from living and working in South Asia, North America and the Middle East. She is a recent Masters graduate and a skilled researcher and specialist in girls' education, gender and women’s empowerment.

Claire Buchanan
Claire has over ten years’ experience in external and internal communications, working for the Soil Association, British Geological Survey, SGN (the gas distribution network in Scotland and the south of England) and Heriot-Watt University. She is also experienced in event management, crisis communications and has been part of an active press office.
Matt Cresswell
Matt has 25 years’ experience in international capacity building, collaboration and programme management. He led diverse schools and youth portfolios at the British Council on behalf of UK and international clients, and has substantial experience in these sectors both in the UK and globally. Matt has an extensive background in stakeholder engagement, donor stewardship and grants management.
